Although Hublot and Tag Heuer are some of the most overrated luxury brands in watches imo. So, his taste is not exactly on par with his money. If he gave them a Grand Seiko, or IWC, or something like that...

He made his gesture after his first season at Man City because he felt he had been treated so well. I do not recollect him buying Mancini one when he left.
