He's just hurting himself and the team by delaying his operation.
The most overrated player we have, people will get angry, people will say "you don't know what you are talking about" but hey, that's fine. The guy was pretty good during the majority of Pep's era- but we can thank a new style of play and teams being in shock by it for that.
Tall yes, but weak, terrible in the air and slow to the point it is unbearable. The player is a DM who can't out muscle anyone, weak in the air and slow to the point where he is invisible while defending counters. Even if he isn't far up the pitch, if a team counters with quick players he is too slow to keep up even with a head start. Despite his height, he barely ever wins headers during corners or free kicks either.
But he's the best ever at closing up space you say? Okay, maybe during Pep's era, but the last 4 seasons...not so much. Sure he has some great games, but what I see is someone who closes up space and contains the midfield when our team isn't pressing far up the pitch. When our forwards/midfield get even slightly caught up the field, he can't function. They start attacking, he slowly starts to approach them and close down space, but now they know all they have to do is make a quick pass even 10 feet around him and the player receiving the ball, regardless of who it is, has the pace to pull away from him.
Xavi is past his prime, we all know it, but we know what to expect from him. He was out there trying to get on the ball and move around the ball with some quick passes. Iniesta isn't in the best for. With Busquets, I'm wondering what he is actually doing the majority of the match. He doesn't contribute much to the attack and he is a liability to us when we aren't attacking. We are weak on set plays, so is he. We are weak against counters, due to lack of pace he is weak as well.
Our team doesn't control the game like we used to anymore. Teams figured out how to play against us and our key players to controlling the game are aging. We still can control a game really well and we have a brilliant offense. We need a physical, strong and preferably tall DM who is good on the ball. Someone to protect us during counters and help during set plays.
You can say it's injuries or not, Busquest does not strengthen out team in the end in my opinion, more negatives than positives.

Its embarrassing watching him running back. As Boycott would say "Even my Grandma can do run faster than him" and she can't walk. He's one of the prime reasons why we get taken apart on the counter attacks.
