Is it wrong to think that Busquets may be the play we can't afford to lose? I always would have said Messi first but with Suarez and Neymar the attack would still be in good shape. Now if Busquets went out with a 3 month injury or longer who replaces him? Lucho would probably play Masche there but we all know he isn't at his best playing at CDM for barca.

Busi eclipsed Pep years ago. About the Roberto and Lucho comparison, then - aside from the versatility aspect - I don't see any similarities to be honest.

I think its true Busquets is the player we would miss the most if not there, Neymar and Suarez can run an attack but who can play dm like Busquets? I have no faith in Mascherano, Samper potentially but way too young/inexperienced, struggling Rakitic, so that only leaves Roberto as the only real option and he is nowhere near Busi at dm.
Weirdly enough, I think Messi could do it as well. I have seen games of Argentina where he was basically playing as a deep lying playmaker.

Sergi Roberto has played great in the games he has played as DM. I do agree that Busquets is priceless though.

Busquets is very rarely injured. He has played a huge number of minutes for club and country since his debut.

It's beyond crazy that much more people don't understand how truly fantastic he is. We have won everything - not once, a couple of times! And Busi is the first to go on the team sheet for both Barcelona and Spain. 1 world cup, 1 Euro, 5 Liga's, 3 CL's and much much more. Its lolworthy if you consider yourself knowledgeable about football and don't understand how great Busi is. Not in the top 12 midfielders, pffft! While they vote Busi will win another CL and Liga.
