I would love to see Trincao as a box-to-box midfielder. Ateast give it a run for a couple games, if he's good, we get an option in midfield with De Jong as a more dynamic Regista and it would let us a really good core midfield with Pedri or Puig as our creative options. Our most important area goes from being slow and lazy to hardworking and full of energy and spark. Koeman is likely leaving end of season and we're out of UCL and possibly Copa. We aren't in catching up to Atletico in the league either unless they slip up a couple more times AND we don't drop any LOL . Worst case he plays as a winger and we potentially get a better option than Dembele rn

I just don't understand how in todays modern game. We have the most expensive and lazy squad... Our best recent midfield signings have been a 17 year old boy, Paulinho, and of course Frenkie.

Even our meme signing Paulinho was great for us in the 1 season he played + we made a profit from selling him back for fucks sakes. God knows profit is not something this club hasn't seen either. Coronavirus only made the financial situation worse. Our stadium hasn't even been started. Atleast Madrid is doing something productive while they can't have fans. Estadio Bernabeu is nearly finished while we're delaying elections LOL. You can't help but expect dissapointment for 5 more years.

Then you look at Pjanic with losing another promising midfielder in Arthur. You really can't come on both hands the amount of horrible signings the former board has made in the last 5 years.

Trincao is too soft to be a b2b midfielder. At least someone like Rakitic had a bit of physicality.
We need a proper fucking hardman like Van Bommel. That's why I liked Rijkaards teams. There was always a blend of skill and physicality.
