2008-2016 Busquets was a living legend.
2016-2021 Busquets is a leech whose inability to deal with the evolution of the game and the press has been reason no.1 (arguably along with MATS' choking) for our CL humiliations.
That's all there is to it.

It's more than just that, mentality of the whole team, suarez being useless, Incompetent managers etc.
I think this last year/year and a half Busquets has had a renaissance of such. Or atleast showing what he was lacking to show his best level were the right midfield partners.

Busquets for Barca is worse than ever the past year or so.
Saying he needs the right midfield partners is at this point saying Barca need other players to give up elements of their game to try and hide his weaknesses.
An issue that has contributed to Barcas twattings in recent years in CL etc... Pique cant run.. sit deeper, Busi cant run.. cover his area, Messi cant run... midfield cover his area, Suarez cant run... leave him up top with Messi and make sure midfield cover it.
Never ending cycle of covering for old players that cant fucking move.
Will always look decent if gets a lot of space but is not all that effective with it but looks good.
The moment teams press his area of park he crumbles and cant handle it.
Can see already what will happen. Xavi will get players back from injury up top with pace and teams will have to sit back a bit more and they will let Busquets have the ball in middle more. He will look pleasing on eye at times. Folk will get excited Xavi has got Busquets back to his best... until any decent team that can attack his areas of park will waltz through it and expose it.

This. By all means he should have been replaced long time ago, especially when we kept playing other players who were slow/a bit lazy. (Old Suarez/Messi).

Facing 10 men for more than half the game as well.
Left Busi on ball and it was the likes of Pedri who took it in the tighter areas that were hurting them in Euros semi when folk again think played well.
Lucky not to be in book earlier and was fouling constantly as players got away from him.
Barca wont be back until likes of Busi are gone.
