2 good games in the CL mean pretty little. Weeks prior to the game in Munich many madridistas were asking for his head due to many blunders in La Liga

He was crap earlier this season but the second half was impressive ... however Ramos issue was the hype he received

granted he scored again in La liga & scored in the CL final but you know the Spanish press it gets to you ...
this humiliation is a blessing in disguise for him , although there is no real culprit here the entire team & Del Bosque is to blame.. i can't salvage anyone who was good yesterday except Koke

Ramos could be the best defender in the world if he could control his hot head and ego, he did it in the second half of the season. Like you said this humiliation could be a blessing for him and madrid.

Everything went wrong with Spain in this WC. The higher you fly, the deeper you go. Only a disastrous tournament like this, will bring the courage to implement the changes that are needed

It is hard when you succeed at a young age, Pique suffered the same ego inflation. It even got to Pepe.

He has been the best defender for this last couple of years. His red cards and yellows are due to reputation. Heck, he is the only player that still slide tackles in La Liga. What is a penalty in La Liga would be normal in the EPL.

Notice that his tackles are ok in Champions League. If he was in the EPL, he would be praised even more so than Kompany.

I think Ramos was better some years ago. Especially in 1vs1 situations. Last season he got beaten so easily sometimes.
And he deserves all his cards and send offs. It is not about reputation. Ramos is often reckless.
