Keita leaves after four years at the Club, having won a total of 14 titles

Seydou Keita has announced this evening that he won’t be staying at the Club next season.

FC Barcelona thanks Seydou Keita for his services to the Club over the years and wish him professional and personal success in the future

Four years, fourteen titles

Seydou Keita is leaving Barça after four years at the Club which have seen him win 14 titles. Keita wore the number 15 shirt under Pep Guardiola and in his time at the Club won three league titles, two Champions Leagues, two Spanish Cups, two World Club Cups, three Spanish and two European Super Cups.

So sad... but I understand. Now signing Javi Martinez or a cb will probably be even more important. Especially because there are rumors JDS will leave on a loan.

maybe because he's a multifunctions player, a CB and DM. and to cover Keita's departure in midfield with an experienced and powerful (physically) player so Busquets would play CM when needed which he proved before that he' capable of.

He already was for Zubi and Tito, and now with keita leaving, he's the perfect target, because he can cover 2 positions.

I know in what positions Javi can play..but Keita wasn't a CB and as a DM he wasn't a very succesfull experiment either. And we have Thiago who can be as physicall as Keita. If it would be my choice, I would bring Romeu back as Busi's back-up..or keep JDS and buy a real CB.

you think Martinez isn't a real CB just because he used to play in DM. well I trust Bielsa's choices and if he says that Javi can play CB then he can.

+ JDS is good but we're gonna have a line of midget midfielders and a Busquets, and I just don't like that idea (not that JDS is bad or anything but he can be an emergency back-up).
