I expect Costa to see very few minutes for Spain. Villa puts him in his back-pocket.

lel even Torres does

Game over. It was a showcase of exactly how Spain will be in the WC. Insanely long spells of possession and then sneaking in 1 or 2 goals to take the win.

Once Xavi and Busquets entered, Spain became untouchable, and the attack much more precise and dangerous (and no useless Alves crosses attack-killer on the right).

Nice finish by Villa for second goal. Some other lovely touches as well.

Costa does show his usefulness. They'll need his aggression and goal hunger against taller stronger teams.

Rested and healthy Xavi is still able to give some flashes of vintage Xavi. Managing his minutes and keeping him fresh, fit and healthy next season is going to be important for the team.

Huh?

Fu*k Costa btw, he doesn't fit Spain at all, should've chosen the Brazil NT since they dont have a proper striker.

Atleast with Spain he's going to be at the WC..if he would have chosen Brazil he would have stayed home, like Miranda and Filipe Luis.

This. Felipão rated Jo higher than him. And Jo is a joke.

Cesc's through balls are really crazy, sent a few to Costa and Pedro in the 1st half that they miss used.
And Silva was the man in the 2nd half.
It's pretty clear to see that Villa is still the Spanish striker that fits Spain's game the most, even though he stole Costa's goal lol.

Spain barely put any effort into the game though, and it was clear to see...

I am not convinced Del Bosque can make the transition happen that's necessary to stay at the very top... he has been too stubborn on various issues
