They aren't naming it Qatar Nou.

You guys should stop with this them vs us mentality it's childish.

It's quite hard for it not to be that way though. Right now we have no reason to believe that the board will ever act in any way other than their own personal interests.

Behrox

Vice President of FC Barcelona
Can agree to some of the things he says. Its quite clear Barcelona has been targeted for alot of crap this year.

Not target this season seems an all out assault no hold bard every corner looks to bear some misfortune for us. Incredible rate of injuries somewhat BVB-esque but not at that magnitude, Neymargate, and now this shit from FIFA but still the club is surviving and will continue to do so

Less than 32percent voter turnout to decide the next 20 plus years of the club :/
Of that 32% turnout, 72% voted yes :shakeshead:
How is selling out to Qatar preserving the Symbol of Catalunya?

I'm going to lower my expectations for future transfers by a lot and just enjoy what the team does on the pitch. Will it still annoy me that we have DMs @ CB or a Striker-less formation with Cesc upfront, yes. But at least we continue to get results and some form of Tiki-Taka is still there. I just hope we don't turn into Arsenal or Milan (complete implosion) because 4th place is not a fucking trophy. That's so disrespectful to the supporters to feed them that BS every year. The Guardiola Era will always be close to my heart and maybe we'll be able to get near that level of play again.

Visca Barça!

How would you like the club to go about building a new stadium?

If they were to do it through a huge loan then it will have a big knock on effect financially in the future and affect the playing side a lot more.

It is the members the club represents and it is for them to decide how they want the club to represent them going forward really.

Not supporting the board. Would have been happy to go with whatever the members voted. When I say 'the club' I mean board and members.

I get you dont like renaming the stadium but how would you like them to go about rebuilding it?

JamDav doesn't have any original ideas of his own. He goes along with the majority opinion (in this case the 72% vote) and just asks questions of those who think differently.

Does Camp Nou need to be remodeled and upgraded, yes. But not by this board. The best way to tell them NOT WELCOME is to reject their ideas. Look at what has happened to Arsenal just because they moved from Highbury to the Emirates. They were a powerhouse team, now with exception of Ozil none of their starting 11 are Arsenal material. They replaced Henry, v.Persie, Cesc, Vierra and Trophies with Giroud, Podolski, Flamini, Arteta and 4th place.

Are you fine with turning into Arsenal JamDav if thats what these misinformed conservatives of old vote for? I'm not.
Have elections for a new board who will strengthen the team for the future then we can make plans to renovate the stadium the right way.

I'm not.

As I see you dont have any alternatives to how the club should remodel the stadium.

The links to Arsenal are lazy and not anything like Barcelona.

Part of giving up the naming rights would be to maintain the money spent on the football side of things.

Total opposite of what is happening at Arsenal.

The last construction stage will still require a 200 mil € loan.

Yes which is still a lot less than they would have had to pay if no naming right to be given up.

The lazy comparisons to Arsenal are pointless.

The Emirates is arguably the biggest success of any stadium redevelopment in europe and the lack of spending is not down to it but the attitude of board and manager.

Strange how people complain about the new stadium affecting funds spent on team but alternative means even less being available.
