I am curious to the statement of FC Barcelona and I am sure that at the press conference questions about Ter Stegen will be raised.

So it's all good, we will make all necessary transfers this summer and even if they deny the appeal we can survive without two transfer windows, it's not like we are doing a lot of business in winter transfer window anyway, so it's summer of 2015 that will be real punishment.

Tru we need to make those signings

We will be able to sign players in the summer. We'll appeal, and the final decision won't be made before the start of the transfer window. If the court decides to reject the appeal, we'll have new players to be good for the season. If it accepts it, we're fine anyway.

Good thing is, the board will be forced to spend loads this summer.
I don't get it. Why would they sign for us knowing they can't play?

I really hope Valdes stays for 1 more season. Would he leave Barca with this trouble?

What if valdes has actually signed a contract with monaco

I don't see it, since officially the transfer would happen DURING said transfer window.

If he had signed with Barca in the winter, we would have found out, since journalists are like jackals, they don't miss news like this one. Most probably we have an agreement with him and BM, an agreements that worths nothing if won't be to register him.

A transfer consist of:

1. agreement with club (if the player is not free of contract).
2. agreement with the player (and his manager/brother/sister/cousin/father if he has one).
3. putting those agreements on paper and registering the transfer.

I don´t know the rules, but wouldn´t Valdes still be able to leave, since he is no longer on contract??

Ok, I'm not entirely clear on what this means.

1. What are the 10 signed players that infringed on the rules? How come nobody noticed this?

2. Does the ban cover transfers in and out of the club? Will we be able to sell?

3. What about the players that have signed pre-agreements? i.e. Halilovic, Ter Stegen and Valdes?

4. If Ter Stegen cannot come, can Valdes stay? Can we renew contracts?

Yes. Basically we'll be allocating the transfer budget from 2015 (45 mil) into 2014 (45 mil), which wont affect us that much. I'm fine with buying players for 80 mil this summer and not buying for a year. We have needs that will be addressed, and while the price may go up because other clubs know our situation we'll still be able to buy a GK and CB.

Chelsea "winning" the appeal vs. their transfer ban in 2010 (re. Kakuta) is not a relevant precedent for Barca. Chelsea and Lens reached 1/2

2/2 settlment (c.£1m) and Lens dropped charges. Barca case involves 10 players and multiple breaches, won't settle, sure to end up in CAS.

Well this is a lovely morning

On 2 Selling will most likely be allowed, since you can't keep players at a club by force - that would be a violation of human rights.
On 3 I'm pretty sure those pre-agreements are useless now. They could be postponed or voided, if the decision stands.
On 4 it depends whether a renew is considered a transfer. Transfer, literally means, to take something from X and go to Y. The different destination should be key in this case. If you stay were you are, you aren't TRANSFERED.

Hope the appeal is successful, judging that Barca have good grounds for the appeal. With Chelsea it was alleged that Kakuta was approached while he was under contract and it was in turn deemed that he was not which is why Chelsea were successful. So harder for Barca but must be some grounds where Barca feel they are fully justified to appeal.
