Ceccon the Italian gold in 100 m backstroke. He came right through at the end when it looked like the American Murphy went too fast too early and slowed at the end. Murphy then finished in third.

Looking forward to the battle between the two Aussie girls in the 200 m freestyle.

Been a while since I was interested in Olympics and after seeing some clips of opening ceremony I am even less inclined to watch.

The swimming has been great and hopefully the track and field will follow suit.

I don't really watch sports like tennis, football and basketball at the Olympics as they're nowhere near the pinnacle of the sport. But for stuff like swimming and athletics, it's the peak of an athlete's career. So I like to watch what I can these days.

It's inspiring too. I have always wanted to swim again for fitness and health and have not got around to trying it. This makes me wanna give it a go.

Olympics shouldn't be about nationalism but individualism. Parade the whole lot athletes naked and oiled, no team sports, no flags, just personal glory and glorified bodies.
