Well done to the American girl Huske who beat her team-mate Walsh in the 100m butterfly. It was a really good race.
Peaty was unlucky. It was a slow race but still enjoyable. I don't know much about him but apparently he has had a lot of personal demons so for him to even be competing and going for a third consecutive gold medal was great. Joint silver is still a top result. Well done to the Italian lad who won.

Egypt got its 1st medal, a bronze in Fencing. A game was full of drama, especially after a big loss last night.
Not a big deal, but growing up with "no medal for 20 years" I appreciate it when we ensure it isn't happening again.

Usually the last matches start at 10 pm cest. Only surfing is starting later because they compete in Tahiti.

You're getting the causality backwards. The state of society is a result of what happens in government, not the other way around. France is not a free country. Political discourse is heavily regulated and dissident groups are routinely banned, and that's before we get into the total control that the merchants have over media. Democracy is a fantasy, it's the story the regime uses to legitimise it's rule over you. Oligarchies do not allow citizens to vote their power away.

Female volleyball players are massively overrated in the looks department because of their fit bodies and sun kissed tans. They nearly always let you down facially. Especially if you are unfortunate enough to see a photo of them without make up on and you realise that, damn she looks like her father.
In fact that could be said of most pretty girls generally. Which is why most of them will do their best not to let you see them bare faced. Its very difficult to get excited by women when you realise that without make up and long hair, they are very boyish looking.
Most of these girls guys go crazy for online, you would not give a second look if you got to see them first thing in the morning, au naturale. I used to be under the same delusion until I was lucky enough to date a few and was massively underwhelmed.
It is what it is.

In Germany, we have state television which offers 10 parallel Olympia live streams. They don't show all beach volleyball matches, but enough.
