Pedro is #18 in Spain, but that just means T-Bone will need a different number for the national team.

I wanted Thiago to take #11 because it's a First XI number he could wear for club & country (coz Joan will surely retire from Spanish NT after the Euros). but now Gabi has left and #18 is available I suspect he will take that because it's a cool teen number and #11 was never a fit for him, positionally.

Fabregas is not ready to play. Xavi may not be ready for a full game yet. I'd say based on recent performance, Thiago is more ready than any player in the world, which is a pretty good reason to put him on the national team.
