He was really starting to show his quality in Germany before his most recent injury. I'd honestly start him over Xavi if he's fully fit.

It's a sham Illarramendi sabotaged himself of a World Cup spot by signing with Real Madrid. Well that and Xabi still having something left in the tank did him in.

It was beautiful to see how perfectly Thiago and Illarramendi linked up last summer though for La Rojita.
