If so,then why (according to rumors ) they are interested in Hummels and they think he is best fit?I think barca scouts are better than me&you in deciding which player is better fit :D

Have you already forgotten the Ukranian Jesus fiasco? The same guys about to make the same mistake. Hümmels is great but he doesn't solve some of our biggest problems which is the lack of speed in the back and the occasional lapses of concentration.

They already failed to get a Puyol replacement last summer, and decided to go for Song ,and tbh since rossel became a president,I am not sure I like our scouting for our transfers

There was some reports that he actually started learning the language a year ago ,if true then he will probably be able to communicate with team early on ,and will quickly speaks the language fluently

Hummels is very intelligent, he would learn Spanish pretty quickly.

Not only that, but Hummels would take sexiness to a whole new level on our team. I'm not gay, but you can't deny that he's one good looking man. He looks like Orlando Bloom, BTW.

I don't see the similarity, but I approve of Hummels mustache and hope he'll star in a play/movie about the three musketeers.

don't believe everything what you read in the papers. I'm amused about the press. :coffee:If all that was right, Dortmund would't soon have any players - Hummels has contract till 2017 - without climbing out clause. Only Lewandovski could change to Bayern 2014 (not earlier!) if he wants, but Hummels, Gündogan, Reus and Götze have contracts till 2016/2017 and 2018.

Finally, we have in Dortmund no winter sale! :shakeshead:

Amorebieta is nowhere near being the calibre of player Barcelona need. Has to be one of the most over rated players in La Liga.

The number of errors he makes in big games is scary and he is a complete liability to a red card.

If he was playing on a team like Barça he'd be great.

Exactly. Why would Dortmund (going for Champion's League success) sell their best players (especially to rivals like Barça)? Makes no sense.

Not sure if Hummels is actually "better" than Amorebieta (6'4" nutter) or Martinez (21 year old crack). Also not sure how well Hummels would adapt to life in Barcelona. The only German on the Barça team - he'd be the odd one out.

Not if we bought Ter Stegen as well.

I must confess that apart from barca i dont watch other La Liga teams, nor do i know much about their players.

I've been looking at defenders in La Liga; stats like tackles won/passes/headers won/mis-placed passes etc. We all are looking at Germany, or Italy for a CB that we desperately need. Why not look in La Liga?

There wouldnt be language problems; there wouldnt be homesickness; no problem settling down - these players are already in spain.

Can anyone tell me a bit more about/discuss the suitability of:

Amorebieta (Bilbao), Arribas (Osasuna), Valiente (Valladolid) and Godin (A Madrid).

I'm only asking, so sarcasm and laughing smilies are unneccessary thanks.

I listed the best: Fernando Amorebieta and Iñigo Martínez. Barça should sign both.

Valiente play for the Barça youth team that had Messi, Cesc & Pique. He's pretty average now.

True but how likely is that?

We face the choice of either letting VV run down his contract until 2014, or selling him in the Summer to make some money. Being as he's one of the best keepers in the world and we will need to replace him with one of the best, why not cash in in the Summer when we will get E15million+ for him.

We can then use that money - or more if we get for him what he's worth - and maybe extra and buy a good top class young keeper that could be our keeper for years to come.

If our budget is 40 and we get 15 for valdes, we could spend 25mil on a keeper and 30 mill on a top class CB.

Ter Stegen is only 20, hes 1.90m tall, and he plays for Munchengladbach - not one of Bundesliga's powerhouses - so a transfer for him wouldnt be out of the question.

I believe our budget will be 50. 60-65 if Valdes gets sold, and I'm guessing he will be.
