Fernando Amorebieta lost his place to a child- Aymeric Laporte . Before that he was really never more than an oafish thug. Language shouldn't stop us from signing a German player. Uli Stielike and Schuster are some that did well in Spain in the 80s. Breitner played in Madrid for a bit. Günter Netzer as well. A few decades later Trochowski, Khedira and Ozil are doing ok.

Seriously, listen to his english. He and Pique would communicate fine if we signed him.

don't believe everything what you read in the papers. I'm amused about the press. If all that was right, Dortmund would't soon have any players - Hummels has contract till 2017 - without climbing out clause. Only Lewandovski could change to Bayern 2014 (not earlier!) if he wants, but Hummels, Gündogan, Reus and Götze have contracts till 2016/2017 and 2018.

Finally, we have in Dortmund no winter sale!

With respect we heard it a few times before. Arsenal would never sell Cesc for less than 60 millions. Inter said Ibra was nontransferable. Moratti actually said he was worth as much as Cristiano or more (We than gave them Eto'o and 40 millions ) .What is different now is the current board of Barca are into "austerity" and would prefer to sign a marketable player like Neymar in place of the defender we actually need for the same price. Bayern are the only club I believe when they say not for sale because they can let a contract run down lose the player for free and not feel it economically. For me, the main thing is Hummels wouldn't force a move and Barca wont make too good to turn down offers anymore.

His english sounds way better than Pique's.

Germans are great at picking up other languages from what I've come across, particularly English...I do like Hummels but again, I just don't see it happening nevermind unsure whether he's really the right partner for Piqué

20times in 10/11
10 times in 11/12
11 times in 12/13 until now.

Not as if Real seem to regard him highly. He is 27 years old and 1.90m (6'3" in proper measurements). He could be bought for a reasonable amount and would give us experience while Marquinhos, age 18, Height 1.83 m (6 ft 0 in) got the experienceand games necessary to be CB for years to come.

So, let's buy Albiol and Marquinhos (and Ter Stegen)

Hey, its just ppl's opinions; its a discussion forum. Do you want to tell us all what you'd like to see and for us to fall in with what you want.

We might need a Gk, BUT we DO need at least one CB BEFORE anyone else.

Barca's main problems have not been in attack, or midfield; its whan a team parks the bus and hits us on the break, or scores a header from a corner or free kick.

A fast CB with good aerial ability should be the FIRST type of player we buy. VV's contract runs out next year, so we could have him play it out if neccessary.

His english is wonderful for a german. He would probably learn spanish quickly, and he looks mature for a 24 football player.
It would be amazing to see him in our team...

Hummels and Ter Stegen this summer. Neymar next summer after the World Cup. Seems affordable and doable for me.
