So guys here think Kompany for 30m is a great signing?

He is one of the best defenders in the world, is relatively young and ticks pretty much all of the boxes in terms of what we need in our new defender. Man City will not want to let him go considering he's their captain and they hardly need the money. Considering all of that, €30m is a pretty good price.

Martinez could turn out to be a steal like Alba. I'd still take someone a bit more proven and experienced like Kompany or Vertonghen (maybe Hummels) though, despite the higher price.

Barcelona want to sign a Spanish goalkeeper to replace Valdes. The main option at this moment is Valencia keeper Vicente Guaita (26).

Other goalkeeper options, besides Valencia's Guaita: De Gea (Man United), Reina (Liverpool), Casilla (Espanyol), Fernandez (Osasuna)

I'd take that with a pinch of salt. According to some other sources, the options are something like: De Gea, Courtois, Ter Stegen and Lloris.
