Wasting money on an unnecessary transfer like Song and disregarding the obvious defense problem. I'm sorry but as good as Song has been, we didn't have an impending need for a DM backup (Masch could even have fulfilled that role if we had gotten a CB).

Thiago Silva has also hinted he wouldn't mind joining us IF we can find a way of making it happen !!!

Just imagine it.... Pique + Silva + a great GK + Busquets in front of them + 70%+ possession.... we'd never concede.



If we did have Silva, his injury-proneness would be a problem for us though. And I'd prefer someone a bit younger, though he's not too old, especially for a CB.
