This is our Defensive Personnel's duties in a nutshell:

Robbo: Go forward and defend based on situations. A complete full back great at both sides of the game.

VVD: Win the aerial balls, organize the defense, play long passes, marks certain attackers.

Matip: Commits tackles defensively, covers for Trent, ball carrier from defense.

Trent: Fully commit himself forward, create plays from various parts of the pitch, cross and take set plays.

With the midfield not functioning and the absence of Matip/Gomez defense gets outnumbered and put under far more pressure.

I honestly think one of the main issues with trent and the rest of the Liverpool team is purely down to exhaustion. While il admit I don't like Liverpool over the past few years they did play some amazing fast footy. Over time it's bound to take its toll mentally and physically

Let's hope not, wouldn't want him anywhere near Barca. I don't even think he's THAT bad in defence per say, it's like he looks at defending as if it's below him.. horrible mentality and attitude.
