There is a massive difference.

The full salary to Dembele on last year of contract and the loss on his value on the books.

We signed him right in the beginning of the pandemic before the market was depressed in general so while on paper it may be an 11 million loss,

11M? We signed him for 31M, 8M of those came from Abel Ruiz valuation. There was no chance we sell Abel for 8M if he was sold outright.
It is 2M loss on paper, and no loss in reality.
Only question is how we value him as a talent, and tbf he had no chance to develop here while Messi & Griezmann are in the team and him being a slow winger.
Good Luck to him, not excited about the news but it isn't an awful deal if they sign him.

Dembele was given chances due to injuries and being Bartou own project.
Laporta didn't give him a contract extension and his new injuries fucks us even more.
There is no "loan" option for Dembele when his contract ends in a year.
Also, you do realize those who gave Dembele chances are different "we" than those loaning Trincao?

And it was a mistake to give Gomes another chance.
The only player we gave another chance and proved his worth was Alexis Sanchez.
MATS was once considered a world class GK, we already tried to get Donnarumma to replace him and failed.
