TV3: BARCA wans to sell MESSI

I think Messi and others will be sold if this board survives a confidence vote. They view this team as legacy of Laporta. They will sell Messi to raise money for the new stadium so history can say Qatar Airways Camp Nou built during the rule of.....

Let's face it! Xavi, Puoyl, VV are leaving which makes it easier to rid of Messi. Neymar$ will take centre stage with a new coach that I bet has already given his thoughts to how the new team should look like. The FIFA ban might complicate things a bit..

Again all this CAN HAPPEN if the board survives. The Rosell crap started before he even took over. They have an agenda and they are trying to execute it. I can't see Messi and this board co-existing for long. One of the two will be departing and I hope it's the rotten board of directors.

The board can't sell Messi because in reality Messi is more powerful than any of them and they know it. He has more political and social power behind him than the board does and if they dare to risk putting a price tag on him then they will face wrath so great that it is like that the board members will actually be putting themselves in danger by doing so.

Messi doesn't want to leave, it's pathetic that he has to come out every 2 months and say that he wants to see out his career at Barca. He will stay unless he is pushed out, but that isn't likely going to happen to a board that is currently under massive scrutiny, nearing the end of their term and has a man in the presidents chair that wasn't even elected.

Making Messi sign a new contract is their ONLY source of any salvation at this point. They know that there is absolutely no room to fuck it up.

It seems that you didn't read my post well, what I was saying:

IF board gets a vote of confidence (not saying they will) believe me the will make it hard for Messi to stay EVEN though he wants to stay. The team will not be the same which will give Messi one more reason to leave. They will have public backing to do what they want: Building the new stadium.

ELSE IF board goes then Messi stays and next year will be written off anyway.

I can't see Messi and current board co-existing, one of the two will depart for different reasons.

Note: IF board stays and they want Messi out, they can find a coach that will make Messi repeat his last performance for an entire season, in the meanwhile Neymar is prepared to take over. Slowly the Messi supporters will disappear. It will be the transition year and following that a whole new team comes in to work around Neymar. I can see that happen.

More NeyEra conspiracies, if Messi wanted to leave then he can leave. It's up to him, but I don't think he will be forced or anything.

Just renew the contract if you love the club so much and want to see out your career

Hehehe... was bound to happen i don't know why people are surprised this is always been a Barcelona thing

When did you keep someone till his 30's ? Maradona ? Cruyff ? Rivaldo ? Ronaldo ? Ronaldinho , Laudrup ? Stoichkov ...

Hell not even Puyol is retiring here , neither did Pep ...

Always been a Barcelona thing , nothing change ... The king is dead , long live the king... even the approach is the same way

Now here is what you will read next winter if it happens this summer
Messi was chronically injured and cannot gain his old form anymore
He is blocking Neymar progress and the team can't have both and sacrifice their style
He became a dictator disrupting the team harmony & bad influence without doing an effort (insert couple of stats , defeats , never heard before inside stories , his personal vendetta against Ibra , Villa , Eto'o & even Dinho... and then the cherry on top of the cake would be "Pep wanted to sell him and when the board refused he left " )

fast forward few years and remove Messi and put Neymar and enter the dragon
Come on... i'm sure someone at least 2 or 3 comes from an old generation like me and remember all those incidents in the past 30 years ?
In for a lovely dramatic summer

to be fair it has become common in every big club in the modern era gio

I call bullshit but isn't TV3 somewhat credible?

Say Messi is sold, will the new manager be allowed to spend the full 250 millions euros to build the squad he wants?

They can't sell Messi. Can't believe they want a deal worth 400M over 4 years though.

It could be good move for him.
French league is easy and nobody will man mark him with 5 defenders. Maybe after season or two they figure out that's only way to stop Messi.

Instead of getting behind Messi and support him Barca fans tend to whine even through his played OKEI. Manager makes the choice who plays not Messi.

If that happens you better close your doors cause I am gonna come to Barcelona and bring hell upon the Barca board

So self-destructive
Cruijff/Guardiola/Laporta created the mold of how to successfully run this club, all anyone had to do was follow it. Innovating and tinkering with things here and there to keep up with our opposition. It wasn't perfect by any means, but it worked.

What's happening is a complete dismantling and those in Madrid are throwing fuel onto the fire.
I love FC Barcelona and will always support the players wearing the shirts but there is just too much political/outside bullshit involved. Absolute power corrupts absolutely and I think there's a lot worse ahead. I don't know how anyone thinks that Neymar is the future of FC Barcelona. He had a mediocre season and hasn't shown any of the magic Dinho or Messi did their first season. Take away the haircuts, OTT moves, the name & hype and he's just a youth acquisition. The only problem is we paid 120+ million for this youth product.

I'm not surprised/mad about our recent results because this has been coming since Pep left and the board refused to take any action to rebuild. Hoping for the best but expecting the worst...

I get what Beast is saying. We are known to implode throughout our history, but so are Real Madrid. Also some of the examples he came up with have been twisted slightly. Ronaldo left for Inter to play in Serie A and make more money in the best league in the world at the time.
