I think you're kinda overrating his performance. He wasn't bad, but neither was he good. Missed a sitter and didn't create a single chance. Was completely in the collective pockets of Schweinsteiger, Hummels and Boateng

If you are a barca fan you should know that messi was in terrible physical condition, despite all that he was still by far the best argentinian player.
If he was in good physical condition there would be no contest.
