If you are a barca fan you should know that messi was in terrible physical condition, despite all that he was still by far the best argentinian player.
If he was in good physical condition there would be no contest.

That was a world cup, they played 7 matches in a single month, several overtimes in abnormal heat. Noone was in his personal feel-happy zone.

I won a free round of drinks at the bar here predicting Müller to level in it in the last minute.
Classic german outcome.

Time to predict our favoured opponent for the next round.
We really deserve an easy one.
My preference

1. Wolfsburg
2. Benfica
3. City
4. Real
5. Atletico
6. Psg
7. Bayern

I want a bayern final and for now hope to avoid 5-7 but will be pleased with 1-4

1. Benfica
2. Wolfsburg
3. City
4. PSG
5. Atletico
6. Real
7. Bayern

Juve could have finished them off when they were down. Now that friggin' team is back with more confidence and momentum.

Why? Why?

It's funny that we are sad Bayern went through, when we might have in fact got rid of Juventus. Last time I checked, Juventus wa the 2nd best team in Europe last season, and CL finalist. And they were the better team in the tie vs Bayern. So, we should really look at it the other way perhaps.

6 Ballons for Messi

but what if he wins 7??

Dude messi was in terrible physical condition since he came back from injury.
You forgot all the "he's so slow now" and "he's saving himself for the wc" posts? And then the wc came and messi was still walking past 50mins because of stamina and was throwing up all over the place.
I know you would like to believe that your team beat a fit messi but it's rly not how it happened, everyone else on the pitch was in much better physical condition than him.
He should have snorted some coke like maradona, then it would be a different game, :lucho: .

Yep. And to be champions you need to beat the best. It'd be nice to get an easier on paper because our schedule is really awful. 50 matches played already.

I may be in the minority, but I don't want Bayern in 1 game. A final is a final. Everything can happen, and we might have less control over it. For me, it would be ideal for us to play Bayern in QF or SF, or for them to play one of Real, Atletico or PSG. One of these 3 teams can knock them out.

I sense PSG is a force this year.

I'd rather face them in a possible semis than in the quarters, though. By then la liga might be secured, and Enrique could rest the key players.

PSG and Atletco are more dangerous to us than others, Expect a win to beat them - own then, Lose with respect, Trust them, No leverages. Kill them all,.

Still on paper we are favoured against anyone odds wise. In reality we should beat anyone over two games bar Bayern which is a toss up. Excited to see what happens.

Yep. One of Benfica, Wolfsburg or City would mean we are in the semis probably if we are careful.
