We drew the most violent side left. Always a tackle fest with Cholo. Lucky for us Lucho has owned him but still if any team can park the bus it's Atletico. Plus we play first leg at home for some reason. Plus we suck at penals. That's the only hope they have is taking us out on penals.

I have not seen a team to effectively park the bus against Lucho's Barcelona. Some teams have got lucky in not-so-important games, like Celta and Malaga.

vs Atletico:

3-1
1-0
3-2
1-0
2-1
2-1
______
2 goals scored / game ratio.

I think it's very hard for us not to score at least 2 goals on Camp Nou against any opponent. It's just a matter of being strong in defence.

Godin and Tiago are injured. According to transfermarkt, Godin is due back in 6-th of April and Tiago on 4-th. Game is on 5-th. They could rush Godin back, but he won't be at his finest.

I would even celebrate if Bayern wins over Real. I just can't take that piece of shit winning another Balon d'Or. He's hasn't done shit this season. He can't keep getting away with it. I want us to face them in the semifinal, demolish them leaving Penaldo crying and leaving this league forever.

No amount of Ballon d'Ors Ronaldo gets will change his status vis-a-vis Messi's any more. Most sane people, including Real Madrid fans acknowledge that Messi is a much better footballer than Ronaldo ever can be.

I'd be VERY happy if Real Madrid and Bayern faced each other in the semis and Real Madrid kicked Bayern out. First it would be easier for us (if we manage to get past the quarters and semis, thank God) to beat Real Madrid than Bayern. Secondly, personally I see Bayern as a much bigger threat than Real Madrid.

I know we are Cules and it is in our blood to dislike Real Madrid more than anything else, but Real Madrid lately, at least since the greatest Barca agent ever Florentino took over they have been more or less acting like a bumbling buffoon, mishaps one after another, to the point of even being comical at times. Bayern on the other hand, is extremely shrewd, astute, meticulous, well-managed, well-planned, sophisticated and efficient. They quietly stock up talents while managing to pay peanuts only (that foresight and business acumen!). Some of their fans boast and give off those vibes of superiority over others ("We have ZERO debt and look at you guys!!!"). If I could make an analogy, Real Madrid is like that annoying mean girl who torments you at school or those stupid street gangs who show off their biggest blings while Bayern is the cold-hearted serial killer and crime syndicate that will kill you before you know it.

Didn't say they were better than that Juventus 2012-13 (the Milan with Zlatan that is). About the same level. Comfortably better than Shakhtar, Marseille, Porto, Benfica, Basel, and Moyes United (who were a mess of a team, and I don't know how anyone can say differently) though.

As the table suggested Zlatan-Milan was below Juve in 11/12. And how was that a much different Juve to 12/13 now? I really don't get the whole point behind that. Juve in 12/13 was a good team, was considered one of the favourites after already topping a quite difficult group unbeaten with Chelsea and Shakhtar in it. What they did later or earlier to that campaign is not a measurement of how good they were in that year. And they were good, certainly better than Milan, who finished 2nd in one of the easiest groups there was (and Barca had the easiest actually (Celtic-Benfica-Spartak Moscow) alongside United's.

Juve 2012-13 was about as good as Milan 2011-12 I think. Juventus won the league 4 points ahead of Milan in 2011-12. Doesn't say anything. If anything, it means they were very close as I said. The season before, 2010-11, Milan was champion.

And Juventus in 2012-13 was certainly not a favourite to win the CL. Juventus under Conte was underwhelming in Europe as a whole.

When Conte left Juventus he said “You can not go to a restaurant that will cost you 100 euros with just 10 euros”. Obviously he thought his team couldn't compare to Europe's best.

What's Yannik arguing here? That RM haven't gotten overwhelming majority easy opponents in UCL 1/8 and 1/4 rounds?

15/16
- 1/8 - Roma, 1/4 - Wolfsburg

14/15
- 1/8 - Schalke, 1/4 - Atletico

13/14
- 1/8 - Schalke, 1/4 - Dortmund

12/13
- 1/8 - United, 1/4 - Galatasaray

11/12
- 1/8 - CSKA, 1/4 - APOEL (LOL)

10/11
- 1/8 - Lyon, 1/4 - Tottenham

09/10
- 1/8 - Lyon

That's just one really good tough opponent in 7 competitions (Atletico), then Moyes United, terrible Roma and depleted Dortmund, rest are bad teams. There can be no argument they've gotten easy draws.

Fortunately I'm not arguing that.

Fergie's United. Bayern had the great honor of playing Moyes United a year later.

Bayern had easy draws as well. Quite similar to Real Madrid. Juventus this year was the first really tough opponent they had in some time, and they were one offside flag away from going out.

13/14
- 1/8 - Arsenal, 1/4 - United

12/13
- 1/8 - Arsenal, 1/4 - Juve

11/12
- 1/8 - Inter

10/11
- 1/8 - Lyon, 1/4 - Tottenham

09/10
- 1/8 - Fiorentina, 1/4 - United

They've had some easy draws, but still harder draws than RM in same time-span.

Inter is in 10/11. In 11/12 they had Basel in 1/8 and Marseille in 1/4. Two piss easy draws again.

Madrid still edges them by playing a mythical CL QF with APOEL and the return leg at home. But not by much.

This seems more and more like the Bayern's treble season.... Almost get knocked out in KOs, their manager announcing departure in December, etc.
