This seems more and more like the Bayern's treble season.... Almost get knocked out in KOs, their manager announcing departure in December, etc.

1 major difference. We have 3 in form players that scored more than the entire Bayern team, we are treble champions, and we have a healthy manager.

Inter is in 10/11. In 11/12 they had Basel in 1/8 and Marseille in 1/4. Two piss easy draws again.

Madrid still edges them by playing a mythical CL QF with APOEL and the return leg at home. But not by much.

Yeah I skipped one year, copy pasted from the RM format that's why Lyon/Tottenham got in there. Same effect though. RM have no equal for drawing easy opponents in 1/8 and 1/4.

That's obvious. Real had the easiest draws. But Bayern is a close 2nd for me.

I have a sinking feeling in my heart that either RM or Bayern will win it this year. RM give no shits about any other competition. Bayern only has Dortmund to worry about. Both teams have looked like shit throughout the competition but are still going through (tell-tale signs of going on to win the trophy).

We are the only team left in the CL that's fighting in all 3 competitions. That takes a huge mental toll on the players and the coach.

If we come out of this series of games by advancing to the semis and maintaining a strong lead in La Liga, I hope to god we draw either Bayern or Real and smash the fuck out of them.

Especially Bayern. Fairly certain PSG can take care of Real.

BVB won't have a chance catching up to Bayern in the league (that 5-point lead by Bayern is too much to overcome given Bayern's consistency and their respective schedules), but I hope BVB will beat Hertha and meet Bayern in the Pokal final to put up some resistance. If by some miracle they manage to strip Bayern of that one title I will be so happy.

We can do our part too. Let's take it one game at a time and beat Villarreal on Sunday first. If we can do that we can afford to perhaps rest players and drop points against Real Madrid as a result. Let's have our best game come April 5th. If we can get past Atletico, we can't rely on luck to pair up the most hated pair, we will likely face one of them.

One game at a time. Anything but a Real Madrid/Bayern victory.

Copa is one game, no problem at all.
The league is almost won, even if the gap somewhat shrinks we can still focus on giving everything in the CL.

Real Madrid are the only Champions League team who play the Europa League until the semi finals.

At least City didn't get Benfica (which would have meant Real gets City in the semis)
