No Casemiro for Real makes a huge difference, though. Real are liable to go to shit at the back, usually he papers over the cracks.

Both teams were shit in that game. Real had two dangerous corners and that's about it. City have players that could hurt Real, who's been quite inconsistent this season.
Every team has players who could hurt other teams.
Plenty other factors play part

Muller's penalty really blew it. They go in at 2-0 and it's entirely different. Props to Cholo for putting on Carrasco for Augusto at half time, though, I love to see pro active management like that and it proved the right call.

Bayern fans must feel like us in 2010 and 2012. It's hard to take it but life goes on and Bayern can challenge again and win again just like they did before pep.

I honestly feel like I'm done with football after a game like this... Atletico deserved nothing out of that game. They play some of the most ugly and boring football in the world and it makes me mad beyond belief that it actually brings them success. If it's a Real - Atletico final I'm not even going to watch as I want neither of these teams to win ANYTHING let alone the UCL...

Very mediocre performance from Atletico football wise, aside from the transition play that led to the goal which was a textbook counter and brilliant. Also, Oblak. The rest was pure willpower.

Very good performance from Bayern, probably their best in Pep's reign so far imo. The fact that such a performance and also a good second half in the first leg isn't enough to advance against Atletico shows yet again how special Atletico is.

Having said that, someone should remind Rummenigge about his comments about Atletico from a few weeks ago.

Man, they've eliminated 2 strongest teams in the world that also dominated last 4 years.

What did he say?
