I dont understand why Spurs are switching in players like Lamela and Kane now, if the plan was to give up and rest players, why not do it all the way.

Trying in Europe hasnt helped Real win many domestic titles either.

Regardless the Tottenham discussion, Since 2007 there have been 8 UCL winners .only twice a team won it without winning domestic league and that was RM in 2014 and Chelsea in 2012.other 6 has won both CL and League title IIRC
Though I feel that we shouldn't bring the CL to the main discussion .different tournament than Europa

Best teams with biggest squads in two competitions they want to win.

Totally different scenario.

I know that some here disagree, but i really dont "get" the english teams. They fight for every inch in the league to get into Europe, only to field b-teams once they get there? You meet Dortmund at Iduna Park, its just one of those matches that most teams live for, and you field a b-team.
Well, to each their own i guess.

It's only partly understandable that Spurs left out 4 starters because they are going after the League title. But still. Liverpool and United will go for the EL, though, it's their best option as things stand.

United still got a decent chance at 4th spot, given Citys poor form. Better chance than they have of beating Dortmund, anyways.

There might be the day where EPL will loose its 4th spot to italy and Spurs will finish 4th in the following year. Then they will look back to this game
