A reality check for Gary Neville so far. I wonder if he underestimated the competitiveness of La Liga as most English usually gloat about the Premier League is the most competitive in the world and La Liga is a two and a half hosre race with others just for filling up the league. Don't know exactly what type of football his team want to play as well. That said, I admire him coming out of his comfort zone to accept the challenge but not sure he is able to last the rest of the season now.

So this is how it looks when "smart" pundits, who "school" us about football, take on a job.

Rayo dominating Valencia at Mestalla atm.

Neville: "It's time for me to stand up."

That's everything he's doing.. he's standing up. He's not turned anything around over there, that's for sure.

In all fairness, even we were also outplayed by Rayo.

Rayo are capable to outplay many teams in La Liga.

Also, even though Neville wasn't really ready for the job as coach in a club such as Valencia from the start, it doesn't take away that he's a great pundit.

Actually need to take my words back. Gary made some excellent subs. If he took Parejo out, it would've been great.

Or maybe Rayo got tired.

Even if Neville fails to deliver, the board should let him coach the team until the end of the season. It's not healthy to change the manager two times in a season.
