Valencia

Greatest news I've heard in a long time. Some billionaire named Peter Lim wants to buy the club by early next year.

Apparently he wants to spend and buy some player. I hope its not another Malaga but great competition for la liga.

Peter Lim looks set to invest 700 million euros into Valencia which would wipe out their debt, help fund a huge influx of transfers, and pay for their stadium plans. New coach with a new owner means things will probably turn around completely at the club. This won't be like Malaga because Valencia have less of a hill to climb and sound backing.

The first player they've been linked to is Edin Dzeko and it's a very possible transfer IMO, expect to hear more about their transfer intentions soon. They'll probably be able to keep Ever Banega too with the new ambition.

So both Atletico and Valencia are on their way to realistically being strong title contenders within a few years. Teams like Athletic and Villareal are also on the rise to be very close behind them and challenging for top 4. I've heard other stories about big money investments in la liga clubs as well. The way it looks, la liga is taking a huge turn up in competition soon and will challenge the EPL as the league with the most widespread star appeal.

There are already rumours coming out that he has not committed to building the new stadium and bankia will not accept the deal until it has been through KPMG which will take longer than the deadline that Lim has placed on them to accept the bid.

As for Banega he should be one of the first players replaced. They could get a decent fee for him and he is far too inconsistent and troublesome. Parejo has been much better than him this season.

The stadium project would probably be put on hold initially but with the money coming in they'll likely continue it at a later time. I heard that Bankia would accept the deal around 12 days after it was proposed which would make it executed without much trouble. Lim's offer agrees with all of the demands of the club and Salvo himself has described it as "extraordinary" showing that there is minimal struggle to get it through.

The team as a whole has been inconsistent, Banega alone can't be criticized. He is a talented player and has a lot to offer. He shouldn't be hastily thrown away so soon, the focus should first and foremost be on bringing heavy reinforcements in the winter to compete for top 4 instead of selling key players.

I hope for Spanish football it does go through but have heard many of these stories in the past that have come to nothing so not 100% convinced.

Personally I think they would be best to sell Banega for anything over 15m in January and add that funds to rebuilding the squad. As it stands he is not good enough to nail down a first team place. He is the most talented player in the squad but he is inconsistent and not great off the pitch which is not what they need.

Getting rid of banega would be the most idiotic decision they would make. Replace him with who exactly? Banega is in a weak team, can't expect him to save them . Players like him aren't easily available.

I do hope this deal happens. But Banega is a lost cause. Simeone tutoring him rather than Sosa would've helped the NT far greater. He continues to be inconsistent, and even the Los Che fans I know aren't too fussed losing him if the club can garner some decent money in return.

Banega is on the bench of that weak team and has not been good enough.

Top teams need players they can rely on week in week out not someone who can be 9/10 one week and 5/10 the next.

He has had plenty of chances to show consistently the player he could be week in week out but hasn't done it.

Ability wise he could play for Barca or Madrid, but he has the attitude of a child.

Peter is ok. They call him the remisier king in Singapore. Whatever shares or stock he buys will have a bull trend. But not sure how long he will hold it. He may just sell it off again.

All I'm hoping for is for valencia to atleast be competitive, I'm not expecting them to have psg/city money. Cause they really not getting anywhere , at the moment they can't even build a team cause immediately when they have a decent player, he gets snached up quick in order to pay dept and that stadium of theirs. Peter Lim is doing them a huge favour.

Valencia just won their first game under Pizzi 2-0 vs Levante. Didn't personally see it, but I heard there were a number of positive things to take from the game in terms of intensity, attacking transition, and creating chances.

The team hasn't yet built up momentum or cohesion under a new coach so (hopefully) it can only go uphill from here. Getting Dzeko in January would be a great addition since they desperately need to replace Postiga.

Pellegrini has ruled out a Jan transfer for his Bosnian Hitman. Valencia 'll have to wait till summer, when he 'll 've a year left on his contract, so 'll mostly likely 've to compete with a few other notable clubs for his signature.
