Where would he play?
RVP would not fit in our system,he is more a Messi-esque player in the centre and drops deep to get the ball.He would not be good on the wings because he doesnt track back and doesnt have Pedros and Villas work rate.He cant replace Villa on the left wing because he is a left footed player.So unless you want to replace Messi with RVP...

Some massive Villa underrating going on in this thread. People seem to have short memories, forgetting what an absolute beast Villa has been over the years. Villa doing the dirt work on Barca's wing to make space for Messi and scoring the occasional goal != Villa as the main frontman of your team.

Villa fits us like a glove. There would be no striker so fitting for us than Villa. even if you totally ignore his awesome playing style, his behavioral characteristics as a team player Humble.hardworking. awesome. swagtastic.consistent.knows the system. mentally strong. intelligent. mild mannered. avoids drama and media bullshit. big game player the list can go on and on and on. Players like him are very very very rare. he's the best fit for us.

astonishing how one good season in EPL can make you the best striker, and a kind of player who can pull the best team in the world to a new level, and 10 years of consistent delivery in the most brilliant ways in national team and club career in LaLiga doesn't get you such luxury.

I think people here underrate Van Persie, his first touch is incredible and his technique too. The problem with him he can't play a whole season because he is injured all the time. This season he is fit and you see what happened and that in a team where Gervinho is in the starting eleven. And even he is injured all the time, he still got great stats with Arsenal. If you look at his last 4 seasons, he played 127 games, scored 90 goals en gave 38 assist and that in a team like Arsenal. I love Villa but these stats are better than the stats from Villa of the last 4 years.

He also can play a throughball and can create space for himself and others around him, just analyse a game of him, you will see it.

I said I couldn't remember but I guess he has dribble past 1 defender lately ? ( of course imagining that he didn't lose the ball after the ending of the video. The point is, Villa is very predictable. Get the ball on the wing and pass it back.
