Victor Font: "I conveyed my concern to him (Laporta) in a letter. With his response I am coming to the conclusion that the current Laporta is more of a problem than a solution."

Victor Font: "How things went with Xavi has made us a laughing stock. It is one more example that we cannot continue like this."

Víctor Font: "Xavi's sacking? The president has not yet responded to the change of decision in a month, going from ratifying the decision to replacing him. With an appropriate speech and structure, it would have turned out better."

Victor Font: "The treatment that true Barça legends like Koeman, Messi and Xavi have received is unacceptable. When Messi left, president Laporta said that there was no person above the club, but this includes presidents."

Víctor Font: "The fact that 30 Barça executives have left and have not been replaced is worrying. Do you know that nowadays there are no technology managers at the club?"

Víctor Font: "I don't see the possibility of the club collapsing in the short term. What worries me is the medium and long term, right now there is no one in the club who thinks about the institution of 2030."

Font is just another emasculated western man, a system boy pitted against some predators like Perez, the scarf barbarians and the UEFA mafia.
He can solve shit. I saw nothing in the news about his philosophy that would give me any hope. United is perfectly administrated at a profit and that is the best you will get with Font in the most insanely positive scenario.

This idiot disrespected Koeman like Laporta then comes now and talks about legends.
At least Laporta is keeping the club in the news, this guy might be just a simpleton.
Barcelona will never be a normal company runned by some fancy pricks pointing at charts because it's a fucking club.
Get used to it or get yourself into oil.

That was his mistake with Xavi and he paid for it.
He knows that now and won't repeat it.

As for the rest, you are wrong.
Barca is a club, but must also survive as a businesses, and someone who is an expert on that side of things can surely make the brand grow, solve the financial issues, while at the same time delegate football decisions to football people.

The last is the most important thing. Now you have clownish Laporta acting like a fan running the club, while he surrounds himself with buddies with 0 expertise.
No 1 rule in business is you select the right professionals for the right posts

Football is entertainment, not a sport. So managing the football business is very hard.
On one hand what you say is correct, but on the other you need clowns like Laporta, you need risk takers like Rosell.

What you don't need is idiots like Bartomeu and his policies. Sadly the fan base is Bartomeu level and that makes Laporta obliged to do shit fuckeries to get em hyped, loyal.
United is the best runned football company except it is the worst runned fco in the same time. City was runned at a loss but since the rules allowed them they now are heading towards domination at a profit due to their unsound decisions.
You can't repair Barcelona without clear principles.

All this clowning from Laporta in an entertainment business is sound from my understanding. You get people engaged, you mentain the interest in top 5 while being broke.
No need to change Laporta for now but you are right, the staff is mental.
3.5 bil in debt would make Barcelona a UEL contender and bankrupt if we would have a more rigid president. Valencia is runned well afterall and that can be Barcelona as a Fco business, not a club.

Translation:
"Given the seriousness of the events related to the registration of Dani Olmo and Pau Víctor, and the terrible and inappropriate image of the best club in the world, we share the concern of all Barça fans for the dire sporting, economic and institutional consequences of this case. The result is the possible loss of a player who we signed four months ago for 55 million euros and who we now see may leave due to a management full of improvisations and an absolute lack of professionalism.

We hope that the situation of the two players can be resolved, but we consider it intolerable that the top leader of Barça acts in this way and presents this image. That is why we demand that the board and president Joan Laporta immediately provide all the necessary explanations detailing what actions they have taken and what the consequences will be:

· We want to know the reason for signing such a valuable player knowing that we were exceeding Fair Play if, as has been demonstrated, we had no plan to resolve the situation.
· We want to know the reason for going to court if we knew that there was no recourse, as is evidenced in the resolutions issued by the judges.
· What actions is the club taking from now on to avoid the loss of Olmo and Pau Víctor.
· We want transparency about the operation to sell VIP seats at Camp Nou. Have we sold them? To which investors and under what conditions? We want to keep the hope alive that we won't lose a player just four months after signing him for 55 million euros.

For this reason, we give a reasonable amount of time to listen to the president's explanations and see the club's immediate movements. But we remain attentive and vigilant. We will not stand idle by in the face of the squandering of resources and the club's prestige, and the sporting consequences that this has. Barça and its members deserve to end bad practices and once again feel proud of what we are: much more than a club.

I'm sure he'll fart out the 200m or so we need. Perhaps he'll suggest we hire Oscar Garcia this time and give him the full powers to do as he pleases.

These guys pretend they don't understand simple economics. His speech is full of empty words like more than a club bla bla. We are a football club with income and expenditure like any other club. You can't use these buzz words as if they mean something. This is not a marketing add.

He can do better on the transparency area. But what can he actually do to bring us back to competing with the top clubs? I see very little options for these no-names.

Easy to highlight problems and never offer solutions. If that is the barometer we have numerous people here at Barcaforum who are eligible candidates to be the next president.

Never heard one word about how this guy manages to solve even one of our problems.

Ever.
I remember his powerpoint presentation to win the election. Basically Xavi was his problem solver for every question. He focused his entire campaign on Xavi the savior.
Font is a joke.

You have to learn to read

There is a clear question in there that asks why the board went for such an expensive player like Olmo if we are in this situation.

Clear and obvious question to which Fatporta and his circus has no answer

Then your memory is not that good.
Apart from Xavi, his presentation had a tons of names and roles for all the structural organization of the club

You know what Laporta's presentation had? NOTHING, NADA
just empty words and lies ("together we won CLs", "Pep will be Barca's coach again", etc.)

Yes, pick the one that suits you
