Oh Im not saying that Kompany makes him look better, but that Kompany looks good but don't forget about Nastasic next to him which is younger and equally impressive.Should probably have been more clear :). As good as Vidic in the air IMO.

:cesc:, :song:, :mascherano: were all better in the PL. I didn't say every EPL player is overrated, but the league in general is, plus most of the players are overpriced. Just tell me how a sane person can justify the price tags of Downing, Carroll, Torres and the likes. On the other hand, David Silva, Mata, Aguero, Yaya Touré etc. were bargains (considering their quality) and they dominate the league.

I'm not talking about 5 years ago when the PL was the best league in the world (so that rules out :pique: and :mou: anyway). I'm talking about right now. And right now, the PL is overrated.

Back to topic: Kompany wasn't good against Chelsea, but he was lucky.

BTW, What was Nastasic doing when Ba went through?. . . . That's the question you should be asking. Vinnie was with Torres, Nastasic should have done his job!

Another mistake today, not the first time this season either, nothing will get said though! One of those players that's always hyped and his errors are consistently ignored.

It wasn't great defending but Defoe still had a lot to do. It was more down to Defoe's quality rather than any Kompany mistake.

I only caught the last few minutes of this game. How did Vertonghen and Kompany compare?

Defoe's goal looks like the one Ronaldo scored in the CL earlier in the season.

Was obvious what Defoe wanted to do and Kompany should have shown him on the outside. Stood there and gave Defoe too much space to easily cut inside onto his right foot and get the shot away.

Was a fantastic strike but Kompany's defending was very poor and he gave Defore the opportunity.

I don't want to sound repetitive because I have always said that I find Kompany overrated (not poor, but overrated). But you are right, he often makes mistakes.
