Well he's right, the old firm is probably the most fierce rivalry in world football, they even have different religions. make my dad and say city vs united is the biggest in uk football

You should be familiar with BS. Liverpool vs United has nothing on the Old Firm. Your definitely English, everything has to be the best from there but i'm sorry, any rivalry you have is not as big as that one

Thing is, i am not wishing to put down some of the English clashes. The likes of Spurs vs Arsenal, United vs City, Liverpool vs Everton not to mention Liverpool vs United are huge but seriously, the Old Firm is a rivalry which is so intense and passionate that it resonates beyond football or a derby game. It encompasses history, religion, society and is a matter of life and death to people who follow the 2 clubs.....quite literally. Some parts of it maybe unpalatable but that is what makes it unique and more intense than any English game.
For the record Viva, my nationality has nothing to do with it and therefore, i won't be pressured into answering your question. Particularly the case when the average EPL fan like you thinks you automatically have the biggest and best with everything. Your game and football does piss all over the Scottish game on the vast majority of fronts but having the most intense/passionate fixture? Not a chance, not even close.
