I'd say ourselves and the scousers are two men team. Disagree on Chelsea too, If Drogba's injured Anelka usually plays well and they can always rely on Lampard.

Yeh ok 2 man team, lol,

Nahh id say chelsea are a totally different animal with drogba in the team, Sure they can replace him, but they just are a much more threatening side wit him, he wins them games, Arsenal game for example, Hes Chelseas rooney,

On city, Tevez is your main man, Bellamy number 2, But without tevez you arent nearly as good, His absence from the last few games showed that.

Liverpool aswell, Torres has become their main man for me, Although gerrard is a huge player for them, without torres they just dont look like beating teams,

so id agree, You and liverpool have 2 main players, But the absence of one is more important than other...

Great game today... He's really taking the team's weight in his shoulders and keeping them up showing his real importance to the team, United would be lost without him... I'm very happy for him, he works his ass off every match and he's getting results...

In his current form he's undeniable the most reliable finisher on the planet, he simply can't seem to miss!

He's playing really good but he can't keep it going surely ?
This is the first season where he's been consistently played as a striker. Normally he spends large parts of the season as a winger. Thats why his current goal tally seems a surprise to many because they dont know this.

Excellent goal scoring ratio, he is a proper CF now for Man Utd, excellent awareness and anticipation, rarely is positioned wrong and with excellent midfield assistance he can hardly miss.
Prior to this season there was alot of debate in the English press about Rooney's best position and some criticisim was aimed at SAF for not playing Rooney in his preferred position but those were quelled by the end. As the person above rightly pointed out he was played in a different position for large parts of the seasons which was on the wings which is why he provided 12 Assists and had scored 20 goals but also was used as the second striker, which Rooney on numerous ocassions pointed out that he didn't think to be his best positions.
SAF took advantage of Rooney's willingness to play anywhere as he knew the degree of his versatility and on top of that the introduction of Berbatov forced a change in formations and player positions. Now he plays much deeper inside the opponents half, in and around the 18 yard box and is in the middle of the penalty area at every given ocassion which explains his goal tally, he doesn't run around chasing unnecessary balls and has matured into a decisive player with a devastating end product, he is United's leader and with the form he's in, hes just unplayable.
