Wayne Rooney

Special 1, 2, 3, 4, 5...
I can see this speed up Fergie's retirement. Losing Ronaldo was one thing considering how much money they got for him. But Rooney was supposed to be England's chosen one, I think Sir Alex is going to have to walk away after this. He's finally lost control.

And if Rosell fuck it up all and mess up with Pep, we all know where will Pep go.

ah gazza..immensly talented and did wonderful things with the ball

why is it every great player hits the bottle etc after a while? Best, Maradona, Ronnie, Gazza?

some gazza stuff :)

Not sure if you should have Gascoigne up there with them particularly Maradona. A good player but not a great.

Plenty of world class players legends even have not hit the bottle Beckenbauer, van Haneghem, Pucelle etc etc. It's a trait unique to themselves perhaps in their (harsh) upbringing or falling in with the wrong crowd.

it's all getting very gazza, isn't it?

Yep, he hasn't ever quite captivated the country in the way Gazza did but the parallels are scary. I'm not really sure that either of the big two in La Liga want him, and even as somebody that doesn't like United it can't be denied that any other destination in England is a step down from a sporting perspective. It's very easy to see things rapidly unravelling for young Wayne. I hope not for England's sake but I struggle to see a way back for him.

as i have said, his attitude is terrible, he is good in the air but we don't cross it making him useless, his 'touch' 'vision' (for english standards) would get badly found out at barca, he costs too much, we already have villa and pedro and messi and iniesta who are doing just fine, he won't adapt to the spanish league...

its goes on and on

if he plays on the left he'd be wasted (runs around alot but not much else there), if he plays in the centre villa would not be at his best on the left.

he will be found out for the player he really is. honestly, he is a good goalscorer but the way some go on about him, unbeleivable.

his 'touch and vision' would certainly get found out in spain. he'll have players around him who are much better than that.

And if hes scoring 25 odd goals a year, will people give a fuck about his touch and vision? Nope. Hes a hell of alot better technically than Raul or Ruud. They were excellent in Spain.
