Haha Holloway what a legend! Totally agree on the 'buy out the contract' nonsense, it's a poor rule.
In regards to Rooney though, where he ends up will be a telling sign of his true motives. Moving to City would bring dislike from many all over the country. A move to Chelsea, Real etc would be different. If a manager/player relationship breaks down then the player is going to want to leave.
I'd be surprised if this is all about Fergie getting angry about the shagging and dropping him though. And I don't buy the 'he's greedy, just after money' argument either, given United were going to offer £150k a week, which will probably be about what Chelsea offer. Unless of course he goes to City.

1. if the real reason he want to leave united is to avoid media attention over his scandal..he would move abroad-->real madrid
