Oh god don't remind me. We need to put up with the media bamming on about their World Cup win every time they get the slightest opportunity.
I remember one of the games i watched during the World Cup had nothing to do with England, wasn't a game in their group for example but they still managed to bring it up less than 2 minutes into the game. I believe the conversation between the commentators was:
"Did you know that so and so (can't remember the defenders name) was the only player currently playing at this years world cup who was alive when England lifted the World Cup."
Didn't take me long to find the mute button after that.

England played Brazil in Doha in November 2009, months before his injury against Bayern.
In that game he was fully fit.
He was closely marked.
He failed to control mosts balls that was passed to him
He failed to pass accurately to England players throughout the whole match.
In fact, he played exactly the same way he did in World Cup 2010.

Rooney is a top, top class player but he is not world class. He is at the level below world class.
Those examples you gave prove it, but people look past it because he plays for Man U.

Rooney will miss ALL of the group stage games if he is selected for the Euro's.
Seriously, what is the point of taking him?
Darren Bent should have gone to the last 2 World Cups, hopefully he will finally get his chance this summer. I reckon he is capable of top scoring.
I have a feeling Rooney doesn't want to go to another tournament with England after this insanely stupid red card and his 'nice to see your home fans booing you, thats what REAL support is' triade in South Africa.
