thats why im saying with the right guidance from the coaching staff.he has the most things we need but not completely ready.if we manage to make him play by using more his mind than his legs and heart we will earn a world class cb IMO.There are quite a few good cbs about but very few who can control the back four, guys like Hummels are tops CBs but cannot control a backline. I would like someone that is a bit agressive, like Kyriakos Papadopoulos a bit of a no nonsense defender but he is also pretty dirty like Pepe
@barcastuff
Barcelona's centre back list: Hummels, David Luiz, Kompany; Vertonghen, Agger, Vermaelen; Garay, Inigo Martinez, Marquinhos [md]
Hummels, Kompany, Vertonghen or Martinez to me.
Kompany would definitely be my choice. Not gonna happen though, unless he wants to leave City for some reason.
Besides Kompany, Hummels or Vertonghen would be the best ones IMO.
Martinez or Marquinhos might also be good, though we need someone more experienced IMO (Martinez might be experienced enough, but Marquinhos is 18).
I think we need one very good centreback and a talented kid.
Then bring in Kun if Alexis/Villa leaves along with a very good young goalkeeper and thats it.
Why arent we interested in Sakho by the way?
I have a problem with Hummels coming since he is too much like Pique rather than Puyol or a speedy strong cb
First, don't believe anything the media says. Every season is just one string of celebrity names after another, particularly during international breaks, and then we end up signing Song completely out of the blue and no newspaper ever had a clue.
Second, we are probably not going to sign Sakho, Kompany, Luiz or Thiago Silva or any of the many defenders from uber-rich clubs because we aren't actually made out of money.
