Ah wait a second, What?
Your playing position as a player determines you coaching ability in the future??
That means some one who hardly played football is pretty much doomed!...................Sacchi and wenger say hi
Your comment is preposterous in all levels and absurd, Your career playing position or how even good you were, Has no impact in one's brain ability to take interests in tactics and coaching.
10 years from now, would you rather have Xavi/Busquets as our coach or Valdes and Mats?
Who do you think has more experience with build up, link up, pressing, off the ball movement, attacking, defending, when to pass/when to slow down/when to shoot.
What to do when the opponents have higher possession and how to defend against counters/wing attacks etc?
Xavi or Valdes?
In start, Xavi has a huge advantage.
20 years of first hand experience of all of this.
About Sacchi and Wenger, they were both former footballers.
Not world class footballers, but still, they played football all their life.
So, I don't get what those 2 examples should imply?
It doesn't mean that every midfielder will be a better coach than a former Gk, but still, since there were only 2 somewhat successful Gks-turned-into-coaches, I think that it is not such a strange observation.
