Was an emotional post, but while I understand they got Aduriz and Raul Garcia, I still think Athletic should play way better than they have done, and I'm not just talking about this game. They've been great at pressing, but apart from that all they do is to cross it a dozen times every game. Not saying he'll do the same here, but if the players love Unzue and he's been here for a long time and got a plan that involves not loving Gomes and Arda like his own sons, then why not just appoint him.

Sampaoli failed the audition after Leicester, Valverde failed the audition after Madrid, in this way, we should just apoint Unzue because he can't fail any audition since he is not even a manager.

Pretty much every manager has failed their audition at this point minus Ancelotti, Conte and Allegri.

lmao.

Ah wait a second, What?
Your playing position as a player determines you coaching ability in the future??
That means some one who hardly played football is pretty much doomed!...................Sacchi and wenger say hi

Your comment is preposterous in all levels and absurd, Your career playing position or how even good you were, Has no impact in one's brain ability to take interests in tactics and coaching.

10 years from now, would you rather have Xavi/Busquets as our coach or Valdes and Mats?

Who do you think has more experience with build up, link up, pressing, off the ball movement, attacking, defending, when to pass/when to slow down/when to shoot.
What to do when the opponents have higher possession and how to defend against counters/wing attacks etc?
Xavi or Valdes?

In start, Xavi has a huge advantage.
20 years of first hand experience of all of this.

About Sacchi and Wenger, they were both former footballers.
Not world class footballers, but still, they played football all their life.
So, I don't get what those 2 examples should imply?

It doesn't mean that every midfielder will be a better coach than a former Gk, but still, since there were only 2 somewhat successful Gks-turned-into-coaches, I think that it is not such a strange observation.

The search for Barca's new manager has been so underwhelming at this point I'd almost favor Lucho just staying.

So he wants to be a coach next season.

Not gonna happen, the board won't bring outsiders. It's between Unzue, Valverde and Eusebio. The board probably will wait until the end of the season to see how the team performs, but I think they already made up their minds:unzue:.
