you should be asking the board that if they're willing to dish out 70 m on this joker
willian is the exact same quality of player as those guys and the real madrid board wouldn't even think twice about even signing those guys, let alone for an amount as ridiculous as 70 fucking million. yet this board is seriously entertaining the idea of purchasing willian for 70--and maybe even 80 million

We have absolutely zero idea if the board is actually contemplating paying that much, and no, Willian is absolut nothing those two. You don't really following football do you?

We are obviously giving enourmous wages to lure players to come to Barca.
Not only older guys have too high wages.
Let's see who will buy Gomes, Denis, Vidal, Digne, Paco, Rafinfa etc.
When we are signing players, we need to overpay both in trsnsfer fees and wages.
And then, when we want to sell a player, smaller teams don't want to offer similar wages plus they are offering peanuts transfer fees.
Let's see whether we will be able to sell Vidal, Gomes, Rafinfa, Paco, Denis etc.
We will probably get some 6-12m offers or loans.
So, a younger player who fails, doesn't have that high resell value.
For example, I doubt that anyone would pay 100m for Dembele this summer.
That is already a 50-ish M drop in his value, so 60-70m in total for Willian doesn't sound THAT bad anymore.
Dembele splashed that value in one season.
he's absolutely in the same tier as those players. a mediocre player on the declining side of his career. he's not needed at barca for any price.
just because he had a good game against barca last season does not make him any better than those guys. he's a two good game a season type player. the rest of the year he spends wallowing in mediocrity.

Dont know why everyone keeps bringing up Hazard, Hazard is no CR replacement, poor end product.
I cant wait for us to rely on Hazard-Benzema-Bale(when he he is fit..) to score all the goals we need....
I'm wondering if Curtois will go to Juventus given that Buffon is supposedly due to sign for PSG any day ?
Sadly it's got to be either MBappe , Neymar or outside chance of Mo Salah ..

He won't replace Ronaldo's goals but he's a hell of a player; if Real get him and replace Benzema with a more reliable goalscorer, big if I know, they'll probably be better off for it.
I'm thinking that Hazard and Isco would just get in each other's way ?!

Ha, ha, I literally just thought that after I finished typing, but I couldn't be bothered to edit. Though actually, on second thoughts, or is that third, I'm not sure that they would. They both favour the left, true, but so long as Hazard stayed high and Isco floated it could work. Or else Isco could have free role but nominally starting right? Or else Isco att mid, 4231, Hazard left, Bale right, Casemiro and Modric cms with Kroos rotating. It might take some work, but there are ways, certainly, and to get Hazard and Isco on the same team would be worth the risk imo.
