How is he with the ball at his feet?
This is completely irrelvelant now. Only Barca still remains crazy about a keepers footwork. The rest have moved on, except maybe city and their copycat(arsenal)

Get an outstanding goalkeeperthat will win you games and not some fancy irrelvant pass statistics.

Probably need to reach an agreement with Juve, and get them to concede agreement considering the exceptional circumstances.
Will be interesting how Juve will handle this - why would the want to gift anything more to him or anything at all to us?

It's a question about an important part of his game, nobody said it's the only important quality for GK. And it's laughable that everybody moved on, it's the oposite. After Pep's revolution everybody plays with a ball playing GK (which doesn't mean that he shouldn't firstly be a great shot stopper).

Because it doesn't affect them at all. Neither is barca playing in Italy, nor do we meet in the CL league format. They ended their contract with him, so why should they behave like a jealous ex now?
They probably included the condition so he doesn't fuck them over and join a rival for free. But this is a completely different matter

I mean, they are Italian. Not only Italian, but broke. You can 100% guarantee that if Juve has something to gain from this they will be in for it.

Probably shouldn't be a major stumbling block.

It was a genuine retirement and freak situation nobody expected.

Maybe give them a first option of 20m for Kim Jun Yen and everybody happy.

Maybe an unpopular opinion, but I feel like the passing ability of keepers at Barca is overexaggerated. 90% of it is short range passes which most professionals can handle. I'd prefer a shot stopper who keeps the goals out and is strong in the air for free kicks and corners anyday.

Stegen has shown, especially 2 seasons ago in La Liga, that he can be a top keeper. He just hasn't consistently shown it and in the CL he hasn't come up big for us. People can say it wasn't his fault during the big losses (and it wasn't), but a huge save to keep it 0-0 early on instead of going behind can completely change the trajectory of a game. He just has never gave us that in the CL.

Look at the Madrid keepers in comparison. Some stand on your head performances in the CL which kept RM in it.

Quite popular opinion. If you don't suck at passing you are fine. You don't have to zing accurate 50m passes.

The compensation is likely to be common in contracts of retirees, in case of reversal.

Szczesny retired just 30 days ago, Juventus are in their right to demand this sum. Without this compensation it's a giant loophole in the transfer market. Imagine Mbappe retiring last summer, so he could move to Real Madrid a month later.

New leaks again that Pena is counted as a starter, and Szcesny as backup

Hope they are lying to calm Pena, or else the club is a circus
