TBH picking Koke as a member of a team that unilaterally bottle penalties wasn't smart. Picking Aspas as one who never had to score one as the last taker, wasn't smart.

Hierro's campaign was prolonged as it was anyway. You can go blaming them and stuff, but they were on borrowed time without somebody to blow smoke up Asensio's ass to actually go for it since he's the sole winger that would. Maybe Vazquez would have been a good sub. But otherwise Spain are lacking that Villa-type player for a while now.
