People should stop over reacting..I thought ronaldo played a great game..Portugal is really set up overall to get the best out of him and thats how it should be when faced with limited talent and one superstar player.. And Spain was well ..typical Spain..almost clutching defeat from the jaws of victory like they used to do before the Spain 2008-12 phase..

And people expecting Messi or Argentina to trash Iceland...Argentina has not been set up to get the best out of Messi..its more like give the ball to Messi and hope he does something with it...and this has cost them time and again..Lets see how this Argentina plays especially since this is probably the first time Mascherano has been subpar during the domestic season and so has Biglia and both would most probably start?....

It’s not whataboutism or whatever that nonsense means. It’s called analyzing the performance based on what occurred during the match. Based on what unfolded I’m simply saying if you take away the silly individual errors, Spain should win. I’m sure that’s something Hierro has point out in his post match analysis. Spain can’t afford to make those errors at this level, otherwise they’re not going to get too far. Ronaldo the opportunist that he is, punished Spain (and De gea) for this mistakes. And of course scored a golazo in the end.

Also, you really can’t fault Rui Patricio, Pepe and Fonte for Costa’s goals. That would be harsh. Costa is just a handful with the ball in the box.
