Croatia will be more expansive and that might suit Argentina more, I predict a win for Argentina

More than attacking teams I can see Argentina have trouble with teams that sit down deep and are hard to break down. Most top teams don't play with that mentality or quality. Croatia doesn't seem like that.

But Sampaoli has to make some changes.

There will definitely be a lot more space for Leo. We will have to see how Argentina’s fragile defense and GK deal with their attack, tho. That’s the big, big concern.

Solid. The praise for precise passing is kinda unfounded IMO, because Nigeria aren't really doing that much to put pressure and dispossess Croats. They stand off their tackles quite a lot and only contest crosses.

Goals were fairly sloppy on their opponents part too.

Croatia will play smart, not open like no tomorrow, they know Argentina's transition defense is atrocious and Messi and Di Maria are dangerous with space so this match can't say too much imho.

It's a lose-lose situation for Croats TBH.

- Opening up to Messi & co who are used to playing counters all season long doesn't bode well. Only a terrible Spain-Netherlands-like defensive performance from Argentina will result in a win with this approach. Nor will they be keen to do that given they got 3 points here.

- Playing how they played here v Nigeria, trying to retain possession will be a sure loss, because Argies will go up to press them.

I expect Croats to get pushed back to parking the bus and ultimately lose on fouls. They're very sluggish and can't keep up like a typical Slav team.

Iceland game will be a their make or break.
