Imo Argentina is going to win against Croatia. They can't contain Messi like Island did. I mean, c'mon, do you seriously expect that a team with Lovren as a CB can park the bus effectively and play defensively? That defence is just not that solid and should concede at least one goal against Argentina. There is so much quality in Argentina's attack that they should overrun Croatian's defence.
It's also impossible to expect that Messi will have another bad day just like today. He'll be sharp on the next match.
I think that Dalić is going to prepare the tactics with Badelj in the lineup to play the DM role and Modrić in the number 10 role. They are going to sit deep and play on the counter attack. Croatians won't be able to keep the ball like everyone expect, Argentina will press them like crazy.
4-2-3-1
Mandžo
Perišić - Modrić - Rebić
Badelj - Raketa
Vida - Ćorluka - Lovren - Vrsaljko
Keep in mind that South American teams don't suit Croatia. I don't remember when Croatia defeated one side from South America tbh.
I agree that Croatia can't park the bus as good as Iceland, but the problem is the Argentinian defense. The defence doesn't give me any confidence and I'm expecting Croatia to score at least a goal. I think this is a type of game of outscoring the opponent.
