To think Argentina will beat Croatia is mental. Argentina have so many flaws from an individual standpoint and probably the worst team cohesion and tactical plan out of all the teams in Russia. And that won’t change in 5 days. Croatia ain’t nothing special but they are pretty solid. Argentina really lacks pace and stamina all over the pitch. No juice and their players look gassed after 20 minutes. Messi won’t do shit when Croatia has the ball and that alone fucks up the whole defensive structure.

I also think that Croatia will win.
Croatia is always hot and cold.
But in cases like this, when the opponent (Arg) has a huge pressure and when Croatia are underdogs, they can easily cause problems.

If Croatia will win against Argentina, they will probably lose to Iceland 4 days later.
They always go into extremes from one match to another.

Croatia won't have the ball. Their manager said he prepares for having to sit back relative to the Nigeria game. They'll stick to the counters and let Messi run around. Which isn't a good strategy on paper at all.

Imo Argentina is going to win against Croatia. They can't contain Messi like Island did. I mean, c'mon, do you seriously expect that a team with Lovren as a CB can park the bus effectively and play defensively? That defence is just not that solid and should concede at least one goal against Argentina. There is so much quality in Argentina's attack that they should overrun Croatian's defence.

It's also impossible to expect that Messi will have another bad day just like today. He'll be sharp on the next match.
I think that Dalić is going to prepare the tactics with Badelj in the lineup to play the DM role and Modrić in the number 10 role. They are going to sit deep and play on the counter attack. Croatians won't be able to keep the ball like everyone expect, Argentina will press them like crazy.
