For me sometimes, it feels like some paradox, in that other teams learned more from Pep's Barca, than Barca itself.
We somehow stripped from that team the 3-4 things that made it generally lethal, like speed, pressing, defensive leaders, goal-scoring wingers, dribblers. And we kept only the possession, forgetting that possession on its own is pretty useless.
When you keep the ball in a useless way for 80% of the time, you are actually doing the defense for the opponent since they don't have to worry about making errors themselves, just keep shape and Spain will time-waste on the ball.
