other top teams are on a decline since 2016 when they emerged as force. but take out mbappe and they would be wank.

argentina looking tough to beat over the last 2 years though. and messi will play his heart out in the final.

Nah Griezmann and Tchou been best players last two games when have won QF and Semi Final so not all about Mbappe.

Their team as a whole has contributed.. Giroud header last game, Hernandez today.

Montiel is faster but he strikes me as the more suitable fullback attacker while Molina is the more 'solid' fullback.

I think the key is to keep Kylian facing his own goal as much as possible and if he does take a forward touch, to prevent him getting the afterburners on by making the pitch small for him.

It'll take an enormous effort.

Montiel is definitely not faster. Molina is a better attacker and suits more to how Scaloni wants his fullback to play.

Will be a team effort to stop Mbappe.

They have some fast wingers & that's it, especially without Pogba to add some class to the Midfield, Morocco did well today, if it wasn't for the slip that led to the first goal that changed their game plan things would have been tougher for France, even though they still would have won, French don't really know how to play from behind, when they need to dominate the ball in order to create chances, key for Argentina is to not concede first & give France the ball, let cheeseman try to play like an actual 10, not million miles of space to play with 9.5.

Edit to my earlier post, I was confusing the two of them ffs.

Molina is the taller more gangly one, HE is faster.

My bad, the names being similar put me off.

Montiel played like a mad man to keep Vini Jr quiet in the copa for that alone scaloni may consider him against Mbappe, but Molina has arguably been the best RB at the WC, he'll start.

Viniscus came on as a sub and by then Argies were just sitting back inviting them on.

Vinisuis is never the same for Brazil until this point either.

Well they didn't win EURO now did they? They lost to Tunisia in the third WC game. They lost plenty in the Nations League. You sound as if you started watching them only this month

Penalties and a c team when already qualified...

Honestly it feels like those bayern vs Barca matches from a few years ago where its like yeah Messi can score or create a goal but the opponent will easily put 3-5 past them when they push.
I think it will be a 3-1 type victory where it easily could have been 5/6-1 for example.
Hope to be wrong though since I dislike the French and dont when them to win again.

It absolutely won't be that way.

But France also can score from set pieces, distance shots and crosses vs a bus.
They will just push till Giroud scores and then lean back and counter with mbappe and dembele.

Yep which is why it's was even more impressive, fresh Vini Jr, Vs montiel, he played great that game, no taking that away from him.

Mbappe's physicality is a different story altogether though.

Ok I get it you're a pessimist who's doing an anti-jinx. But you really cannot make that conclusion after watching France play. They are very vulnerable and it is a genuine 50-50 in the final. Got outplayed by both England and Morocco.

It will be very close.

I'd say 40-60 for France, but if Argentina score first, I could easily see them winning. I think the first goal will be crucial. If France score, I could see a typical 2-1 or 3-1 France win (which most people expect), but if Argentina score, I could see them hold on for the 1-0 win as well. Not saying Argentina can't or won't score more than one goal of course, just thinking of the game is gonna go after the first goal.

An inferior Argentina lost 4-3 in the last WC to France with a better midfield. But I am going to go Argentina 1-0 here with brilliance from someone out of a Messi assist. France overall is a better team imo than Argentina and will have more chances so it can go either way.

That was 4-3 on score line but France were far and away better team.

Yep. All the more reason this is going to be a closer game with fine margins.. Argentina is a much better team than 2018 defensively, offensively they seem to better understand their roles around Messi and France is only slightly worse..Makes for a good match up..
