Ronald Koeman: "If Barcelona want to win the Champions League next season, many things must change at the club."As soon as they leave or have not yet arrived, they say the right things. When they lead the team, they don?t want to change anything, they talk about DNA and bet on veteran players. Mystery.

Or he simply realized that beside veterans and the like of Pedri, Fati, the rest suck.

It's just that simple but people want to make thing complicate.

How much Spain improved at Euros with Busi is a bit of a myth.

They didnt win first two games as missed so many chances... more than any other team but they dont start finishing bettr just because of Busquets.

Then they beat Slovakia 5-0, go to pens v ten man Switzerland, go to extra time to beat Croatia.. where they took Busi off as he was struggling then draw with Italy.

So one win in 90 mins in the four games Busi played not quite the huge improvement as is made out.

Well, basically everyone who understands football can point the right things when on the outside. And Koeman is right, but he seems to completely forgotten he was in charge of basically the same "will not win CL next season" squad. I hope this bitterness fades away in time, not a pleasure to see beefs between club legends or board members.

Not used to see a Barca manager go public and being honest with the to be released this summer players. It's a hard task to tell it to their face.

It's not bitterness. Dutch people are honest like that and prefer to take the tough to swallow pill as soon as possible. He probably figures Barca will get back on top sooner if they just face reality.

Koeman said team wasn't good enough when he was the coach, he complained a lot during his time here.
That part of him is consistent

Of course have chance of league. There is not much in the squads of Barca and Real.

Particularly if Barca can improve at full back.

Sure. Not much between the squads. About the difference between a CL final and CL groupstage exit.

This guy...

I tell you what. Gimme a class CB, Lewandowski (to nullify Madrid's Benzema card which they used all season), and a good substitute for Dembele (like Raphinha) and we can talk about being similar to Madrid.

Kounde, Lewa, Raphinha + the 2 opportunity signings we made (Christensen and Kessie), and we will give Madrid a run for their money for the title next season.

Problem is Laporta needs to find some 150m to spend. Don't know how exactly... but... he has to do it.

Barca have added to squad and had players missing.. Barca are not worse than Benfica who went out to and Real could easily have been out in last 16/QF then semi.

Xavi being outcoached in the Europa leage is not some plus point for him to then try and point out how poor squad is.

Not much in it as said. Showed that when played them, when lost narrowly in first half season without Araujo, Pedri, Dembele, Torres and Auba and in super cup when probably better team on balance of play.

Even if Dembele leaves the others from injury, players signed in Jan and summer all make squad better.

Real are better but have more ageing stars they rely on in comparison also. Not much in it and should be close title run.

You are desperate to make out there is some chasm as it is Xavi in charge.

Amusing read as usual. Keep it up.

Everyone and their dog knows Madrid is superior in every way.

Better keeper in Courtois.

Better CBs in Militao and Alaba, and now Rudiger (unless we add Kounde which will even the balance a bit).

Better fullbacks in Carvajal and Mendy.

Similar midfield.

Better attack with Vinicius and Benzema comfortably the best offensive players in the league.

What are we even talking about here?

We have what? Some kids like Pedri (with all due respect for the kid), Gavi, with everyone signing the praises of a world class flop like Dembele who has fewer goals than fucking Busquets?

Until I see some real top class signing I'm calling out these joke posts comparing us with Madrid who just knocked out the last 2 CL finalists.

There is no excuse Sherlock. If we win the league in these circumstances it's a combination between Madrid fucking up and Xavi having a top season. Get that straight.

If Ancelotti loses the league next season that's gonna be a black stain on his resume. We can be in with a fight if we do some top signings, but the way things are looking, I doubt we can touch the likes of Kounde.

We couldn't even give Rudiger a top salary FFS. If we had money we would've just offered more for Rudiger, as the guy was looking for the best contract in his last years. Would've been a sound way to improve our defense instantly.
