Matched Madrid because they took it lightly and Xavi motivated the players beyond what was reasonable for a normal league game, Clasico or not. It was basically us running like mad dogs to prove something and Madrid basically playing the game normally.

If Madrid played Barca in CL for example, with high stakes on, they would've beaten us pretty easily.

They too have a shot for the title if Madrid fuck up on consistency, and start wasting many points.

Madrid are known to have league campaigns where they play beneath their real potential. Happened a lot. They won CLs while finishing on 4th place behind Sevilla or the likes. If that happens, of course Barca or Atletico should win the league. Who else will do it? Sevilla or Villareal? Please...

Not much in Barca/Real squads but yes Real as champions will be favs but not chasm you make out. They also have more older players peforming at top level than Barca do which can become an issue for them.

We are close with AM, and both are behind Real Madrid. Atletico won the league last year you know... when we had Messi and Griezmann.

Atletico winning it year before is irrelevant to where they currently are.
